Siemens Actuator Servomotor SQM40 / SQM41 Series is an electromotoric actuator designed to drive and control the position of air dampers, gas dampers, butterfly valves, and fuel flow control devices in medium- to high-capacity oil and gas burner systems. It is also suitable for industrial thermal processing applications.

The actuator uses a synchronous motor and offers torque ratings from 2.5 to 18 Nm, with running times of approximately 5 to 65 seconds for 90° rotation, depending on the model. SQM40 rotates counterclockwise, while SQM41 rotates clockwise. The series supports 3-position control and includes electronic versions that accept analog input signals such as 4–20 mA or 2–10 V, allowing device positioning to be adjusted according to combustion system load requirements.
